A man and his dog have escaped death after the ute they were travelling in lost control and rolled down an embankment at the weekend.
Tweed Police Inspector Jim Kain said the car was travelling south on Tweed Valley Way, to Murwillumbah when the crash happened.
“He failed to navigate a right hand bend near Green Hills Caravan park,” he said.
“The car crashed head on with a three and slid down an embankment.”
Murwillumbah NSW Fire and Rescue captain Greg Hayes said the embankment was two metres high.
