BUDDING Alexandra Hills designer Brandon Bazley has missed out on winning this year’s Miss Universe Australia costume competition.
Mr Bazley, 20, was one of four finalists vying for the title, with the winning design to be worn by Australia’s Miss Universe contestant at the international pageant in Russia next year.
Viewers of breakfast television program Sunrise voted for their favourite design online, with a majority choosing a beach-inspired dress by Queensland designer Jason Chetcuti.
Mr Bazley, whose design was inspired by the wattle and reflected the green and gold uniforms of sporting athletes, said he was happy to have made it as far as he did.
