RHIEN Lloyd has finally got the monkey off his back and has won the Robin Lloyd Medal, for the fairest and best player for the Boyup Brook Roos Football League team.
The medal is named after his late grandfather, who was a life member of the club.
Lloyd was a very popular winner after being runner-up at least three times in the past.
At the half way mark of the season only two votes separated a number of players including Lloyd, Matt Thompson, Brad Green, David Winter and Mic McLeod.
Rhien’s great finish to the season saw him triumphant with 73 votes, with Matt Thompson runner up on 51 votes, David Winter third on 48 and Mic McLeod 46 votes.
In the Reserves Shaun Porter also claimed his first Fairest and Best award, with Jacob Maw runner-up and Jay Martin third.
It was an excellent evening attended by nearly 100 guests.Thank you to all that assisted on the night.
